My name is Linda, I am a retired administrative assistant and I have had many, many problems over the years with my lower back and I have gone to several chiropractors that have not helped me. Back in the winter I had fallen in the ice storm. My father comes to Dr. Neeley and he lives in Louisville, I also live in Louisville and decided to come and give Dr. Neeley a try. When I came to see Dr. Neeley he had me have an MRI; when I went I had three bulging disks in my lower back. Dr. Neeley has helped me with that, he has worked with me, he does decompression on my lower back which has helped me tremendously. Years ago I couldn’t even walk through the mall without it hurting me and now I can do that and my back doesn’t hurt me; I owe all that to Dr. Neeley, he has been a tremendous help to me.
I’m a firm believer in chiropractors because of Dr. Neeley, he has been exceptional with me and I can’t say enough about him, he just is wonderful in my eyes. I recommend him to all of the people that need chiropractors, he does a different technique; I feel no pain when he adjusts me, none whatsoever, with all the pain in my lower back I feel nothing. If it wasn’t for Dr. Neeley I am sure by now I would have had to have had surgery on my lower back which I have tried to keep from doing for my whole life while I’ve suffered with pain with my back. Now when I go through the mall I feel like I can walk the whole mall and it doesn’t bother me. I can stand and cook where before I couldn’t cook, I couldn’t do dishes, I couldn’t plant flowers, and now I get out and I do the work that I enjoy doing. It has made my life a whole lot better to do the things that I enjoy doing.
Hi, I am Deanna Carl, I live here in town, mother of two, I’ve got a five year old and an eight year old. Work full time and work part time at the YMCA here in Southern Indiana as a fitness instructor. Well you might not think that a fitness instructor would need a chiropractor. Well about 20 years ago I was in a really bad car accident and at that time didn’t experience any problems whatsoever. As I’m getting older I started to have some neck problems and went to visit another chiropractor in the area and really didn’t see much relief. The guy that referred me didn’t really know much about chiropractic medicine so I went there, didn’t really see very much then quit going.
About a year later I went to my massage therapist Glenna and kind of been following her around for quite some time, and through word of mouth she was now at Dr. Neeley’s office. One thing led to another and I didn’t really know much about chiropractic medicine until I started to come to Glenna, started to talk a little bit about it, and then I met Dr. Neeley and his staff. I was very pleased with what I had seen and really the care that he had given for that and just going through and explaining what chiropractic medicine was all about. That’s what got me here.
As far as my neck injuries and my pain I can say now that I don’t have that. I came in, Dr. Neeley looked at some X-rays, he sent me for an MRI. I had some cold therapy that they did in the neck area, also had some hot therapy with some stimulation, the adjustments, and then I had some spinal decompression that I did for about a three month period. Really that combination of everything is what led me here and I firmly believe in him; Dr. Neeley and his team. If you’re looking for a chiropractor or if you’re a skeptic you need to come see Dr. Neeley, he is 100% dedicated to his patients. He absolutely will take the time to get to know what your needs are, you’ve got to see him, he’s my friend, he’s my chiropractor and I firmly believe in him and his practice, in his whole team that he’s got here. He is right on and people will not regret coming to see him.
My name’s Dennis Trammell and I am a wellness and fitness coach personally and I’ve been doing this for about 25 years now. As an athlete all my life I never felt that I had a need for a chiropractor. Working out, lifting weights, running, playing basketball, you name it; but at the end this pain was so bad, excruciating, I actually couldn’t even lay on the right side in the bed. Riding was difficult, it was really difficult driving and the pain was getting more and more, it was a chronic pain. I knew it had something to do with the spine. Dr. Neeley was recommended to me, I came in to see him and once I got here it was fabulous. He did some spinal decompressions on me, he didn’t twist my neck or turn me around like some people have images of chiropractors, no, not Dr. Neeley, this was fantastic. I felt good and after about six or seven treatments I was able to go back in the gym and when I went back in the gym not only could I raise my arms up above shoulder level, I was actually bench pressing 15 pounds more, that’s fantastic! I’ve never felt that before, I actually felt better than I ever felt before lifting. As an athlete I lift, I run, I do a lot of stretching and the only thing now I’ve got to worry about is overdoing it. It’s more than just professional care, there is a personality about the entire office and within that personality you feel that you are a part of the family and you feel, and not just feel like it, you know that you are being cared for and it’s not just there because it’s a profession. That’s what I enjoy about the care with Dr. Neeley’s office.
I have always been a very adventurous, outgoing person and I have had whiplash. The first time I did was a car accident when I was 16, five times after that was from being spiked in the head with a volleyball because I played with guys and they were pretty rough. And my son, at the age of two, gave me whiplash once; he was riding on my shoulders and he threw himself backward and caused my neck to go straight up and down, so that was the beginning of it. Then I had a really bad sleigh riding accident and that was the kicker. That’s when I herniated three disks in my neck and there was no going back after that, my life changed seriously from that point on. I was sent to the neural surgeon and he said that I had to have my disks fused. What I thought was a curtailed life before that was really changed after my surgery but with the help of Dr. Neeley I’m getting better, I’m beginning a more normal life. There’s still things that I cannot do but he’s helped me a lot. When I came to see Dr. Neeley I told him that he had three weeks to make a change in my condition because they were wanting to have surgery. He was almost positive that he could help me even though I wasn’t very optimistic, he was positive that he could.
Within just a couple of weeks I was ecstatic, I just could not
believe the change. Within a week I had no headache, I have not had
headaches pretty much since then and I had had constant migraines.
We did decompression, cold laser therapy, not to mention his
adjustments; he was very gentle with me. I was really surprised at
that point because after a person has surgery I’ve always understood
that you cannot go and see a chiropractor, especially with my
condition, so I was very hesitant to do that. But I’m very pleased
that I did because my life has changed because of it, it really has.
When one of my friends or someone that I just meet on the street or
who I hear talking at the grocery store or at the mall that they’re
having problems, I always tell them that I know a great
chiropractor; it’s Dr. Neeley, he’s awesome; he’s changed my life,
he’s given it back to me. He’s awesome.
My name is Marilyn and I work in a doctor’s office, I work on a computer all day long. I started having a lot of trouble with my shoulders and my neck. I met Doctor Neeley and I was a little apprehensive about coming to see him but I got in so much pain that I needed to see someone. The pain was excruciating, it was to the point where I wore a tens unit all the time and kept it pumped up as high as I could possibly keep it. He did X-rays on my neck and felt like he didn’t get all the information that he really needed so he sent me out for an MRI and the MRI showed that I had four bulging disks in my neck. So he suggested that I had decompression therapy and we also did physical therapy. I really liked his technique; he’s very gentle, very kind. He does nothing unless he tells you what he’s going to do first; there are no surprises in his therapy. I have to say that through my whole experience with him I could see myself gaining strength.
During the time that I was in therapy with Dr. Neeley I got a case of Bell’s palsy, I was diagnosed by my doctor. I called to cancel my appointment that day and the receptionist told me not to do that. When I came in I learned that Dr. Neeley could also treat Bell’s palsy so as he was treating my neck and my shoulders he also treated my Bell’s palsy. One thing Dr. Neeley does, he is such a loving person and so kind and so caring, and that hug that he gives you that just reassures you that he cares about you and that everything’s going to be alright.
My name is Doris and I’m a housewife, I’ve been
retired for some time. I play golf, I’m very active, doing gardening
and everything. All of a sudden I have this tremendous back pain and
leg pain and my husband has come to Dr. Neeley for a long, long
time; first thing he says is we’re going to the chiropractor, Dr.
Neeley. So we come, he took X-rays, MRIs and found out that I have
bulging disks pressing on a nerve. I’ve been in treatment for some
time now doing laser and spinal decompression. I have come a long
way, it has really helped me. Pretty soon I’m doing more yard work
now, and pretty soon I’m hoping to get back on the golf course. I
was very comfortable with Dr. Neeley because he walks you through it
and the treatments do not hurt. That decompression, spinal
depression, doesn’t hurt at all; they just put you on a table and it
just kind of pulls you and does just really good work. Dr. Neeley
won’t work on you unless he knows for sure what’s wrong with you
like an X-ray or an MRI. That’s what you have to do and that’s what
I like about our chiropractor, to do the X-ray and the MRI before
they work on you. If you feel like you’re going to have an operation
then you should check out Dr. Neeley before you do that because he
can help and save you from an operation. I would recommend Dr.
Neeley to anybody.
My name’s Joe Campbell, I have a couple of self-service car washes in the Jeffersonville - Clarkesville area. About nine months ago I had a pain in my right leg and it just kept getting worse. A lady at my physician’s office recommended that I see Dr. Neeley. Dr. Neeley did an MRI, he had an MRI ordered for me, and I had a herniated L4, L5 disk and this was what was causing the pain in my leg. By the time I came to Dr. Neeley the pain was so severe I had to sleep on my right side and I could only find one spot to sleep in that was comfortable. My physician thought that I had a back problem, he did a few little things, nothing directly related to my back but stretching my leg and some other maneuvers or twisting and checking it for maybe arthritis or some other things and didn’t find that, and that’s when I came to Dr. Neeley.
Periodically throughout the last ten years I would have this little
burning sensation in my leg but it would go away after eight or nine
hours, the next day it was gone so I never thought much about it.
Once it was solid, it stayed until we had decompression and spinal
adjustments and then it was okay. One thing that’s fantastic, my
experience in the past when I go to a doctor’s office no matter
which one I go to I find myself sitting for 20 / 30 / 40 minutes
before I get in; if I have an 11 o’clock appointment I get in at
quarter to twelve. You come to Dr. Neeley’s office at 11 o’clock;
you’re in at 11 o’clock. The people are fantastic; they’re very
personable, good sense of humor. It’s almost like a small social
event. He knows his business, he’s very good, he’s very good at what
he does. I really enjoy coming here and leaving feeling great.
I’m Brenda Poston and I live in Georgetown, Indiana and I’m director of children’s ministry. I was having trouble because I work with kids all the time, I was having trouble even climbing the steps and I was going lopsided, in bad shape. I knew something had to give, I had to give up kids or I had to give up a lot. Dr. Neeley’s grandson went to our preschool, Creative Beginnings, so I came down here and I visited Dr. Neeley and he asked me to get an MRI and when I came back he said that I had five disks that were not in a good shape. So he put me on the machines back there and made adjustments and it made all the difference in the world. I was out of pain and I could actually move around, and now I can jump up and down, I can also go actually on the floor with the kids and jump back up without any problem. I feel like a brand new person to a certain extent just because I got my activity back. I do a lot of walking, I walk the dog five miles a day and I’m doing biking, I biked 35 miles last weekend even. I am enjoying life again, I really think I made a difference, well I know it made a difference because now I look in a mirror and I’m not sideways and I was definitely sideways.
Dr. Neeley has done a wonderful job and I have recommended him for
several of my friends because he knows what he’s doing. When I have
any medical problems whatsoever I believe in prayer and so at this
time, since I was sideways, even my husband noticed how sideways I
was because my hips were even sideways, I thought ‘man, what is
going on?’ So, after a lot of prayer, I thought I’d like to go a
natural route over a medical route, well this is a medical route,
but I’d like to go the more natural route to see if that would work
and I do believe that going to Dr. Neeley was an answer to my
prayers.
My neck pain started when actually I was breastfeeding my children. Looking down, you know you have that action that you’re looking at your beautiful baby, and the pain started. I went to another chiropractor here in town and it relieved the pain for a little while. My pain started coming back about four months later; only with the neck pain it started having pain down my arms, both arms. I was having trouble documenting and doing my work and just daily life, picking up my kids, holding them was painful. Dr. Neeley was great, he was very professional. He started with a thorough history of all my problems, and went through X-rays and had me go for an MRI actually. After that he found out that I had two bulging, herniated disks. We started cold laser therapy and decompression therapy; that lasted about three months of intense therapy that way and it’s been a lot better since. This was the first time that I’d ever seen a decompression table, decompression therapy or cold laser therapy. Now I don’t have any pain down my arms, I think that my neck pain that I have is just daily stresses that I come in and he relieves. Dr. Neeley has given me my life back and given me more freedom to enjoy my kids and do what I want to do in life and in my career.
My name’s Jim Rose, I work at the University of Louisville, I’m the Hazmat Technician; been over there 22 years in that job, 31 altogether. My leg had fired up, sciatica or whatever you want to call it and I was in much, much pain. My pain, on a scale of one to ten, was ten and that’s why I came here, I would have done anything. It was hurting me bad enough that I was willing to do anything and hence here and I’m glad that I came and I would recommend anyone to do the same. When I started here with Dr. Neeley it was cold laser and decompression and I would come in every Wednesday at, I think, 3 o’clock and it took two or three weeks, two weeks I think to be quite honest, and I started feeling much relief because of that; the decompression and the cold laser. Janette, one of the attendants would take my pain and progress down from 8, 7, 6, 5 and 0, 0 and that’s what we were shooting for. After about two weeks I did feel better and so I knew it wasn’t a sham, it was the truth. They took care of me and if you don’t believe it all you’ve got to do is come in, give it a good shot, and you will believe it also.
I am now maintenance I think; it’s just maintenance with Dr. Neeley. I come in once a month. I’ve been back one time, or two times since originally with the total program with Dr. Neeley and again, no problems. We’re like family, any time someone can do what they do and make you feel better and make you laugh and enjoy yourself and seem to care, and they don’t seem to care they do care, it’s honest. If anyone were to ask me what could I do to get rid of some of this pain I would tell you with true sincerity, go see Dr. Neeley.
Hi, I’m Mike Kaelin, I’m a deck builder, been building decks all my life, well not all my life, 16 years, I’ve been contracting all my life. Fortunately I have not had any back problems until five years ago, I think that was from a head on collision I had when I was 17 years old and just never caught it. When it first hit, when I first realized I had back problems, I was just cutting boards and it just dropped me to my knees and I could hardly move. When you’re humped over that’s it, you’re done. So that’s when I looked into Dr. Neeley. I was actually coming to see Glenna, my massage therapist and I could barely walk in here. Luckily for Glenna to be in here I found Dr. Neeley, or luckily he looked at me coming down the hallway because if he wouldn’t have I’d have got my massage and left. Dr. Neeley made me get an MRI which was good, and an X-ray to find out what the problem was. A year and a half ago I had no idea about the cold laser treatment, the decompression table or decompression therapy, or the drop table adjustments. Since I’ve been coming to Dr. Neeley I will never to a side adjustment again with any chiropractor. Since Dr. Neeley’s taken over, it was probably six months after he’d taken over and I felt just almost perfect. With the work I do; the bending over, the squatting and the lifting I’ll always be on the maintenance program. But six months ago, he just turned me around that quick. I tell them all you need to come and see Dr. Neeley, I pass out cards but it’s up to them to come and see him. The good Lord brought me here so I guess the good Lord’s going to have to bring them here.
My name is Don Wolfe, I’m 58 years old, I’m a retired journeyman machinist from Reynolds molds company and currently teach at Prosser School of Technology. I was hurt on the job in ’96 with a lower back injury and went through pretty much constant everyday pain and discomfort until 2001 when I retired from Reynolds. About three years ago I re-injured my back more severely and one of the teachers I taught with at Prosser was coming to Dr. Neeley at the time and strongly urged that I see him and that he could help me. So I made an appointment with Dr. Neeley and upon the first visit he took some X-rays, we had consultation and we started a program of traction for disk therapy and we went for about 18 months and I felt great.
Then again about the end of school this year I did another dumb
thing and re-injured my back again. Recently he didn’t have the
decompression tables that he has now so we tried a bit of different
therapy this time, we went with the decompression. Four weeks into
it I was painless and this is my fifth week of treatment and I’m
pretty much functioning normally with little or no discomfort at
all. I’ve highly recommended Dr. Neeley to several of my friends
which have also come to him and they speak very highly of him also.
I’d highly recommend him to anyone, if you have need for removal of
lower discomfort in your back, or even in your neck, he treats my
wife and she’s doing very well. I couldn’t say enough praise about
him, he is excellent, the staff is excellent here. He takes his time
with each patient individually and tailors to their needs. If you
suffer from any type of back discomfort; lower back, upper back,
neck pain, and you want to seek relief I strongly urge that you
contact Dr. Neeley, my chiropractor, he has done great things for me
and I’m sure that he can do the same for you.
I had started out with a migraine on a Friday; I had
one pretty much all weekend long. I kept taking pain killers, trying
to get rid of it, and on the Monday morning I woke up with a
numbness in my arm; very scary. I knew right away something was
wrong and my first thought was to call a chiropractor. When I came
in September, 2008 to Dr. Neeley’s office he immediately did X-rays
to see what was going on in my back and in my neck. He determined
that I had a bulging disk in my neck that was causing the numbness
in my arm and the migraines. He recommended that we do a cold laser
therapy followed by some minor adjustments and twelve sessions on
the decompression table. But I immediately felt relief the day that
I left; the numbness was gone and I progressively started feeling
better and better and better. The back pain eventually went away, I
do not have migraines, the week following my migraines had stopped
completely. I’m very glad that I made the decision that day in
September to come see a chiropractor and I’m very glad that I came
to see my friend Dr. Neeley and I look forward to continuing
treatment with him.
